The intoxicating, floral aroma of gardenias has made them a popular garden and household plant in addition to a must-have ingredient in perfumery!
Floral, green and sweet
History of Gardenia
Gardenias earned their moniker from botanist Carl Linnaeus and naturalist John Ellis, who named the lush flower after famous Scottish botanist Dr. Alexander Garden. A symbol of love, harmony and grace, gardenias are distinctly romantic in their appearance and, most importantly, their uplifting aroma. In France, these supple blooms are worn by men as boutonnieres during extravagant evening events.
