History of Neroli
Today, neroli oil is one of the most widely used floral oils in perfumery and highly regarded as an aromatherapy favorite. However, this delightful oil has been praised for centuries for its qualities, including instilling a sense of tranquility. In the 17th century, Anne Marie Orsini, princess of Nerola, Italy, popularized this elegant aroma when it became a favorite of her own. The name “neroli” was adopted and has since been used to describe this essence.
