History of Peppermint Spearmint Blend

The two prominent mint plants, spearmint and peppermint, have a longstanding history. Spearmint, thought to have originated in the Mediterranean.  It’s the oldest known of the mint plants and has been used since ancient Rome as a cure to bad odors as well as a way to freshen breath. Peppermint, on the other hand, is a widely popular member of the mentha family and can be found growing throughout Europe as well as North America. It was used by Romans and Greeks in cooking and in presentation—both as a means of dressing up for themselves and as décor on a dinner table.

Using Peppermint Spearmint Oil
