What are Cacao Nibs?

Is there anything better than the smell of chocolate? (That’s a rhetorical question, since the answer is definitely no). Chocolate in its purest form is known as cacao which is surprisingly healthy for your body. The cacao comes from the seeds of the cacao tree’s fruit. This delicious tree is native to Central and South America.

In ancient times, cacao was used in Mayan culture as a large part of their religion. They would make cacao drinks that considered “god food”.  Today, cacao is enjoyed for its variety of naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, and other yummy nutrients!**
